The prevalence of overweight has increased substantially in Japan during the past decade and it continues to rise. Obesity is a problem not only in the Western world but also in Japan. Therefore, Japanese universities studied the effects of Garcinia Cambogia on visceral fat.
In this study, forty-four subjects were randomized at baseline, and 39 completed the study (Garcinia Cambogia group, n = 18; placebo group, n = 21). At 16 weeks, the Garcinia Cambogia group had significantly reduced visceral, subcutaneous, and total fat areas compared with the placebo group. Visceral fat is the type of fat that gathers around internal organs and is the most dangerous. No severe adverse effect was observed at any time in the test period. Results of this study indicate that Garcinia Cambogia reduced abdominal fat accumulation in subjects, regardless of sex, who had the visceral fat accumulation type of obesity.
Garcinia is a substance that can block the enzyme that converts carbs into fat cells, while at the same time having the ability of suppressing the appetite. This makes it possible to be on a diet without the feeling of starvation that makes so many people give-up on dieting. It will also kill the craving for sweets. Garcinia Cambogia will help boost the metabolism while providing a steady flow of energy throughout the day, and all without the use of harmful stimulants, such as Ephedra, Guarana or Caffeine. It will also elevate the “Feel-Good Neurotransmitter” called Serotonin, which will prevent emotional overeating, while at the same time reducing the “Stress Hormone” called Cortisol. Lower levels of Cortisol means dieting without feeling depressed and uneasy.
